At OF HERS, sustainability is not a single initiative or marketing layer. It is a way of thinking about what we make, how we make it, and why it deserves its place in our customer’s wardrobe.

As a young brand, we know this is an ongoing journey, one that requires care, honesty, and continual improvement. We believe in making thoughtful decisions from the beginning: choosing quality, luxurious natural fibres, designing with timelessness and longevity in mind, and producing in considered quantities.

Our commitment is to build OF HERS in a way that is more considered - for women, for wardrobes, and for the future.

At OF HERS, thoughtful design and responsible making go hand in hand. For us, sustainability begins with intention: creating less, but better. Choosing timelessness over excess. Working with beautiful natural fibres. Building a wardrobe designed to last.

Natural Fibres, Chosen Carefully

We are committed to working primarily with premium natural fibres selected for their quality, performance, and enduring appeal.

For OF HERS, this includes fibres such as merino wool, cashmere and considered natural fibre blends. We are drawn to materials that offer softness, warmth,
breathability, and durability, fibres that feel beautiful to wear and support the kind of long-lasting wardrobe we believe in.

As we continue to grow, we remain committed to refining our
sourcing with care and intention.

Care in the Making

How and where a garment is made matters deeply to us.

We may only be at the beginning of our journey, but from the outset we have been committed to working with experienced makers and technical experts, people who bring decades of knowledge to the craft of creating exceptional knitwear.

All of our product is currently manufactured in China, where we also work with principal mills behind many of our yarns. We feel fortunate to partner with highly specialised facilities with deep expertise, strong quality standards, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Published standards across these partners include certifications and compliance frameworks such as OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, GOTS, BSCI, SEDEX, WRAP, ISO 9001, Responsible Wool Standard on selected yarns, and Good Cashmere Standard within parts of cashmere sourcing.

We believe better products begin with better questions about fibre, provenance, quality, and process - and we are committed to making thoughtful decisions as we grow.

Always learning

We know sustainability is not fixed. It is an ongoing process of learning, refining, and improving.

As OF HERS grows, so too will our knowledge, our practices, and the standards we hold ourselves to. Our commitment is to keep moving forward thoughtfully, asking better questions, making better decisions, and sharing more as our approach evolves.

Whether it's working with expert knitters to tweak the knitting techniques to help increase longevity (not all knitters are equal) and decrease pilling, listening to customer feedback on how to make a piece even more versatile, being a truly sustainable business is a journey.

From better dyeing techniques, to sourcing and even developing new yarns, to using packaging with less impact and reducing our carbon footprint, we never settle.

No one is perfect, but we'll give all we can to be the best at what we do.
